“ This place is super good! While it may be pricey, you really get your money’s worth. The shrimp tempura rolls were about 8 and there were 5-6 rolls, but the rolls were HUGE and jam-packed with flavor! You also get a free drink if you leave a review, haha.. but genuinely the food is really good. All the employees are really nice and they didn’t make me feel bad for having to use trainer chopsticks. The atmosphere is modern and traditional, and the low lighting makes dining comfortable. 10/10!! ”
“ Our server Brandon on Friday night from about 8-10:20 PM was such a great server! He was so attentive the entire night and made the experience great. He was truly sweet and showed us how to do a sake bomb correctly because we were curious! He answered every question we had in detail. We will definitely be back because of him! ”
“ The food was very good the portions was big I left full and satisfied the staff was so nice and attentive ”
“ Came in for a last minute decision on a place to eat and was NOT disappointed! We were seated immediately without a wait. We were served delicious miso and clear mushroom soup, which was fantastic as it was very cold outside. We chose Shrimp Tempura Upon Soup dinner which came with fried rice on the side, a beautiful mixed vegetable medley and outstanding calamari!!! We will happily come back for more! ”
“ Oh my goodness, I passed in for a late lunch and I was blown away with the quality of sushi, the customer service, the atmosphere and the beautiful plating to pair with the delicious sushi! ”
“ This gem is located in a little strip shopping center right off of the HWY I30. The food....WOW! We started with a tempura appetizer consisting of shrimp, broccoli, mushroom, onion, and sweet potato....came out hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Temptation Roll; it was one of the best rolls ive ever had, and i have had my share of sushi rolls. My lovely lady got the deep fried Happy Roll....it was outstanding. Also ordered a side of fried rice....listen, if you like fried rice you have to come and get it here, havent had better in DFW. Great atmosphere, decent prices, and excellent food. The server Justin was perfect; friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and great at recommending different different dishes. The manager Michael is running a nice place here. Our new Japanese spot. You won't regret it whatsoever. ”
“ I haven't had Hibachi in quite some time so I've been looking forward to trying it. I ordered their filet mignon and chicken hibachi and it was so good! I added the extra 2 to have the Hibachi fried rice and that was the right decision that was the most delicious fried rice I think I've had in quite some time, if ever. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned, moist, and had delicious flavor. The first thing I dove into was the vegetables which was wonderfully cooked with a light sauce, you could have the vegetable hibachi and be full and delighted. The filet mignon was tender and juicy. It was more than I could finish I ended up taking a box home and eating it later for dinner. The atmosphere is way better than you see online in fact some of the pictures that I saw didn't particularly interest me concerning the atmosphere, so I took some pictures while there hoping to capture that it has a nice, darker tone with bright red colors and bright black colors. It really puts you in a nice mood and could potentially be more romantic than it first seemed with the lighter pictures that I found online. I would not mind coming back, I would like to try their Sushi as well as their gyoza. Very delicious meal! Optional: I've seen this restaurant on the side of I-30 for quite a while and have been interested in stopping in. The parking lot doesn't connect to Walmart but I'm at Walmart all the time so it would be very convenient to have those parking lots connect, after all, people like to eat out when having a shopping day and they may see more traffic that way. Once I get on the I-30 I'm pretty much on my way home. Expensive idea I know, but definitely worth at thought. ”
“ My husband and I's experience at this resturaunt was outstanding! I would honestly rate more than 5 stars if I could! We came during dinner time (probably 6 or 7 PM). Service was super fast and very attentive! Our waiter had a big smile on his face and was super polite! Brought my husband a refill before he even realized it was half full! We had the fried calamari, eel roll, 99 roll, tonkatsu pork, grilled seafood. The calamari was cooked perfectly, I could bite through it with my front teeth and even with the better calamari I've had I don't think I've ever been able to do that! The eel roll and 99 roll were both excellent. My husband thought that the rice seemed soft and overcooked but I noticed they seem to use long grain rice instead of the very short grained sushi rice, this is likely why it seems softer. To me it's not a deal breaker, it tasted just fine so I was plenty happy! I also highly recommend the 99 roll it is bursting with flavor! The miso soup, salad, and fried rice that came with the entres were all good. I was a bit sad at the fried rice not having any veggies but the flavor was so good I did not mind. I realized when I finished the rice that it looked like they are using either butter or ghee (or some other kind of light yellow oil, noticed traces of it on the inside of the bowl) and that would explain it tasting so good! The entres, my husband and I both sampled eachother's, his seafood tasted excellent, was cooked perfectly, and had excellent flavor. My tonkatsu, I'm not even kidding and I'm saying this 100% sober, the sauce tastes like Christmas. It's okay, you can laugh, I'm still laughing about it myself. But no seriously, it is heavy with ginger and sugar which reminds me of gingerbread (it works with the sauce though and isn't overpowering) and has a very strong citrus flavor that might be yuzu? I haven't actually had it myself so I don't actually know what it tastes like, but it tasted like lemon crossed with orange and very tart like a cranberry sauce. I could be completely wrong though, maybe it's just good old citric acid. Whatever it is, I absolutely loved it and would happily come back for the tonkatsu and that sauce! Oh and I also see an earlier review stating they wished you could choose between fried rice and steamed, you can! Our waiter asked us which one we wanted before putting in our order. If there was one thing I could gripe about it would be that the sushi menus need to be redone, they need to be laminated so they are easier to clean. They are grimey and I can tell they had tried to clean them by how wet they are but there is only so much you can do with paper, putting a plastic coating on them will really help with that! I would not say that this ruined my experience though. ”
